什么是工作小组？
－an interdisciplinary collaboration of researchers working on new research activities that would be difficult to develop under traditional funding mechanisms (e.g. federal agencies).
－The lifespan of the WG can last anywhere between a few months and several years.
－Such groups have the tendency to develop a quasi-permanent existence once the assigned task is accomplished;
工作小组的目标包括：
－creation of an informational document，
－creation of a standard, or
－resolution of problems related to a system or network.
为什么要建立工作小组？
－这个大会已经建立起一定的人员基础，有一批骨干，做一点实事的时机已经成熟
－工作小组是一种松散的民主形式，自由参加，可自主发表意见，有召集人（Chair）的领导
－工作小组制定一年的目标和计划以及Deliverables，将在下一年的大会上做汇报
－工作小组以现实需要建立课题，主要目的是为有关部门建立数字图书馆的标准、指南等提供决策根据和建议

－机构仓储工作小组
－数字保存工作小组
－开放获取期刊工作小组
－移动数图工作小组
－学科馆员服务实践工作小组
－学术共享空间实践工作小组
－Discovery技术应用工作小组
今天下午5：20－6：00： 介绍工作小组的性质、作用、运作以及一些相关知识
今天晚上7：00－8：30：自愿报名者分组讨论，专家参与各组指导
